Language Arts Level 3 students develop intermediate reading, writing, and grammar skills while exploring Ancient Greece. Students study Greek myths to strengthen their reading comprehension skills, and explore genre-specific writing techniques through engaging research and writing projects. By the end of this language arts course, students will have produced multiple narrative and persuasive texts, refined their public speaking skills, and created the foundation necessary to grow as independent thinkers and problem solvers.

Each unit of Language Arts Level 3 is framed by an overarching language arts problem that students need to solve. To solve these problems, students learn a broad range of language arts skills: reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, interpretation, and critical thinking.
In the first unit, students read Greek myths to learn the craft of narrative and create their own mythological stories.
In the second unit, students explore the history of ancient Athens and write an argumentative speech to defend or convict Socrates.
In the third unit, students are introduced to Greek theater, writing and staging their own plays.
In the last unit, students embark on Homer's Odyssey, reading adaptations of the original stories while developing sentence-building, research, and narrative writing skills.
