Students explore core STEM concepts through real life examples, from ocean waves to solar systems. They learn about wave properties and behavior, use real-life equipment to gather data, and build key data analysis skills. This course helps students develop a foundation for future physics courses and scientific problem solving.
Students need to have completed at least Math Level 4 or an equivalent course to be successful.
PREVIOUS COURSE: STEM Camp 4-5: Mission to Mars
NEXT COURSE: Middle School Science Contests
Both a conceptual framework and hands-on experience help students build a scientific understanding of the world, so each day of Waves and Sound will have two main class components:
This summer course helps students explore their interest in science and build a foundation for future physics classes. They learn to ask questions about the world around them and establish scientific problem solving methods for tackling those questions.
