In this summer language arts course, students develop their writing and problem solving skills through the worlds of ancient mythologies. Deploying real-life methods, students are tasked to reconstruct a mythic narrative based on material and literary archaeological evidence. In order to do this, students study myths from around the world and investigate aspects of these myths preserved in ancient art and texts.

The final day of class is the AoPS Academic Conference, an enthusiastic meeting-of-minds where students present their reconstructed myths to their peers. They work together to find the hidden meaning behind their myths, and, perhaps, unlock a secret they didn’t expect!
